First, I'm really sorry about your dad! I'll say a prayer for him that the cancer will tuck its tail between its legs and run away!
Second, love the penny tiling, I saw that on a blog done at some bar in NY, so cool, if I didn't love our tile, I'd totally do it in our half bath.

I think you could just use any floor sealant though given the many pennies, I'm guessing multiple coats will be called for?

Julie we are going for an over all steampunk feel in the house. It was the only way we could compromise on how to decorate the house. DH likes super modern I like vintage/shabby chic....so this was our middle point.
It wont be crazy over the top....but it will for sure have that spin on it.
