Whoo hoo

Our three year anniversary is tomorrow. Anyone else? I seem to remember some date twins from back in the day.

I feel like a cheapskate; I didn't get anything for DH. However, our wedding album is (finally) ordered and will eventually make its way into our hands. That's leather-bound, so it counts, right??

My life is nowhere close to where I thought it would be at this point, but I'm pretty happy with it. Just makes you think - three years ago on this day, I was a nervous nelly.

Re: Whoo hoo

  • Congratulations!!

Don't feel bad about no gift - DH and I have done away with gifts except for the milestone anniversaries - so essentially 1, 5, 10, 20 etc.

We will go out for dinner though and try to spend the day together.

Hmm.. as I type this - I realize that I failed at even that! Our last two anniversaries I actually had surgeries scheduled the week of - so we didn't celebrate much! Big Smile

    Congrats again though!

  • Congrats on the 3 year mark. We celebrate our 3 year in August. We have not done gifts for any of our anniversaries either. Enjoy your special day together!

  • Congratulations on your anniversary! We didn't do any gifts for our first anniversary, just cards and went out for dinner.

  • We just had our 3 year on June 11th. We didn't do gifts either-just cards and made dinner together and DH brought me flowers. Sometimes it's actually better like that than all the fan fare and expensiveness. We will probably go somewhere big on our 5 year, so we figure the ones in between don't have to be so huge.

I go back and forth between 3 years feeling like such a long time, and no time at all! What's funny is, I really felt like we were at the beginning of our lives when we got married, but now I feel like we are starting over again and at the beginning of "the rest of our lives." Weird...
