I need your help. We just found out tonight that the mortgage is definitely being bought out on our complex which means that by as early as September 1st we could lose our Apartment, we may have more time but we were strongly urged to find other living arrangements. It would take too long to go into the full details but I am asking for everyone to keep your eyes open for a house for us. Preferably to buy (I mean low income house here, we have only been approved for 115k) but at this point even a rental house would be okay. If you would like to know our limits just send me an email at
kimmid@comcast.net We are looking in Nashua and surrounding areas. I have been in freak out mode all night. We are going to see a house tomorrow that needs a TON of work. I am not even sure if the mortgage company will look at it due to the amount of work it needs but it is huge, with a 2 car garage and close enough it would only add about 15 minutes on to my commute. We NEED this to work. I have been trying to not let on the severity of how bad things are for us here because I was sick of sounding pathetic but this was just a giant cherry on top. We have been working hard to try and get out of here and keep getting our feet kicked out from underneath us from medical bills, car issues and everything else. I need all the dust you can spare and your eyes if you don't mind sharing. This was hard to write, so please don't think bad of me.

Kim, I sent you an e-mail already. But I just want to give you my love on here too.
<hugs>
There is a modular/manufactured housing neighborhood in Nashua (on 111, towards Pepperell) called Trestle Brook. They are mostly ranch style houses. There are some in the market all of the time, and most are in the $110K - $130K+ range.
The only issue is the houses are small (about 1000 sq. ft) and are treated like a condo. You don't own the land, and have to have a fee for upkeep, trash, plowing, etc.
Just thought I would throw the idea out there, good luck!!
UM WOW!! Thanks so much!! It was amazing to see how everyone responded. Here is what i have for answers and some comments to help explain our situation.
Ann11/11 I am in nursing school and i cant be that far away from school when clinical start. My clinicals can be as far south as Andover MA and Woburn MA so i really need to stay close to Nashua or i will never be able to sleep between work, school, clinicals and studying. If we became desperate we would but it would seriously affect how well i could work.
KimberlyD I really dont want the kids going to school in MA. I worked in a school in MA and had some issues. Plus taxes are so much more expensive. On the offset of my note to Ann, my clinicals can be as far north as Concord. So again, stuck in the Nashua. I am going to try and continue working full time, have 8 hours of class, 16 hours of clinicals and the needed study time. God forbid i get time with the kids.. lol so spending 2 hours each way commuting.... not so good.
Heather We have already found many of those rentals, thanks for the new ones.
Mikes Bride- the problem with places like Trestle Brook and condo's in general are that you have have your mortgage, your taxes, the insurance, and then the HOA fees. That is what gets us. The HOA fees are killer. $3-400 We cant afford it. We had already tried to find a place in Trestlebrook. We liked the idea of a neighborhood like that.
Thanks so much and i am not being all negative nelly. We have just spent probably thousands of hours looking for houses and budgeting and all that. We are very aware of what we can afford. Robbie is a stay at home dad and spends literally 3-4 hours a day looking for houses, calling realtors, checking out anything he can find online and following up. OTher than the rentals (which we just started looking into) there isnt a house in the Nashua area that we have not researched. It is soooooo frustrating. I know something will come up and we will be fine. But little things stand in our way. The house we were goingto see tonight.... the property realtor cancelled the showing, with no reason. My realtor, who is my boss, called and left a message to find out what is going on. It just feels so hopeless. Ughhhhh
