Bulb planter ?
I'm planting bulbs this year for the first time and bought a handheld bulb planter that will dig 4 inches deep. What do you do for bulbs that need to be planted deeper?
Also, do I dig the hole, drop the bulb, fill it, and then redig a hole in the same spot for less depth to plant a different type of bulb? Meaning, lets say I'm planting 3 different types of bulbs in one spot. One requires to be planted 8 inches deep, the 2nd 6 inches, and the 3rd 4 inches. If I'm using the planter, will I dig, fill, redig, fill, redig and fill?
I feel like this is going to take forever. I'd like to plant 60 all together. 20 bulbs for early, 20 for mid, and 20 for late flowering. My plan is plant them like this:
