Planting a tree in fall..
We just bought a house and it has a huge yard. I am VERY new to gardening, even weeding.
We had two dead palm trees in our backyard, that were so hideous my husband sawed them down. I have heard that it is good to plant things in fall.. Is this true? Because I would really like to plant a couple of trees that belong in WA state in my backyard in the former palm trees spot.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Re: Planting a tree in fall..
Go ahead, as long as the ground isn't frozen and you're able to dig.
It's always a good time to plant trees, IMO. As an Arborist, I may be biased.
Fall and spring are my 2 favorite times to plant.
Be sure to talk to someone when you buy the trees about care and feeding.
Enjoy!
