Know of any "affordable but nice" hotels in Manhattan?
We are suddenly with no room in Manhattan and are going the last weekend in October. Do you know of any hotels under $200 around Manhattan???
Re: Know of any "affordable but nice" hotels in Manhattan?
they just opened a brand new holiday inn express on 39th st in the garment district. the neighborhood is industrial but it's super close to the port authority and times square which is a hub for major subway lines.
there's also a new wyndham garden hotel in the lower part of the garment district, on 36th st b/w 7th and 8th - this is super close to the big macy's here and also convenient to many train lines including the ones in herald square.
i'm just giving you these options b/c i usually work in the garment district and pass by these places all the time so i am pretty sure they are safe and clean.
Most hotels run weekend specials. Check Expedia or Hotels.com.
Also look into the Park Central Hotel on 56 & 7
theres another brand new hotel that just opened up on the west side in the 40s and is getting great reviews.
here's a link to the info on the yelp.com web site:
