Help choosing OB...Health Net HMO... 28 weeks pregnant!

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and had a TERRIBLE experience with my current OB... now need to find a new one and am limited by Health Net HMO doctors. Does anyone have any knowledge of any of these doctors?

I prefer Newport Beach, but am open to other cities if you know someone really good!

I used Dr. Moniak and really liked him.  He's in Newport and delivers at Hoag and Fountain Valley

Also Wheeler was on call in the Hospital.  He saw me one day and I really didn't like him.  Seemed like a jerk to me.

You might have better luck with this on the OC Babies board. Can you go to any of the doctors in Newport Beach OB/GYN?

I made an appt to see Dr Barber in December and the recs from the OC baby board and online seemed pretty positive about him.

I initially had planned to see Dr Wheeler but I called twice to make an appt and both times was put on hold for 5+ min before I hung up. After that I decided he wasnt worth seeing, sorry but if your office cant get it together to schedule an appt in a timely fashion I'm not setting myself up for that.

I know of a couple of people who have delivered with Dr. DiRocco and have had a great experience.

This is the impression I got of him when he was oc for my delivery. My nurse highly recommended him though.

I go to Dr. Clayton and love him. He just delivered my LO.
