Re: Ten Things Tuesday
1. I'm finding it incredibly hard to concentrate today
2. its freezing in my office
3. looking forward to a weekend in NYC...although i'm really hoping it doesnt rain
4. i'm wearing new slacks today and I really like them
5. is the term "slacks" reserved for the 60+ population?
6. we're making an apple crisp this evening and i cant wait
7. i'm already contemplating what i'll be serving for thanksgiving...and christmas....
8. which reminds me, in a moment of weakness last year DW convinced me to buy a fake christmas tree - and now i'm bummed that we wont have the traditional "hunt for the tree" this year...unless of course you count digging it out of the basement...
9. I love random acts of kindness. For no real reason, our friend's mom bought us a new crockpot...and its about 10x better than the one that i smashed outside of the library a couple weeks ago! (did i tell you guys that story? it was lots of fun - and by fun i mean mortifying. pulled pork makes a big mess)
10. i need to start going to the gym more frequently - or at all.

1. We accepted an offer on the condo and the inspection is this week.
2. We started looking at homes yesterday! (We saw 6, but only 2 were possible contenders.)
3. We're leaving for OKC tomorrow morning, until Sunday night, for my childbirth ed conference and to visits C's brother, SIL and niece.
4. We can't look at houses again (except online) until Monday.
(We really should make a decision early next week.)
5. C came with me to my great acupuncture appointment yesterday, and then we went out to lunch.
6. Today is 8dpo.
7. Monday we will test, I'll have an acu appointment and in the evening look at more houses!
8. I'm already behind in school. Babies and homes are way more exciting--and distracting--than school work.
9. We have friends coming to visit for Thanksgiving and we'll most likely be in a new place!
10. I love C and I love that we're doing all of this together!
1. I would really like my kids to get well, please. What we thought was allergies has lingered on for weeks. They are coughing a lot and as of this morning have runny noses (clear) but no fever and seem to feel fine. Getting up 3x a night to give cough medicine is getting old.
2. I am pleased to say that Gray is 100% potty trained and Carter is 95% there (accidents if/when he is distracted or he doesn't get there fast enough.) We haven't bought pull-ups or wipes in 5 weeks (that is nearly a $200 savings already! WHOOO HOO!)
3. Thankfully, I am feeling better than yesterday. I felt miserable yesterday and just wanted to sleep. Sadly, I was at work all day and then even though I went home to rest after work, the boys were in rare form and parenting was a 2 mom job last night.
4. I have a noon meeting today and get free lunch. I LOVE free lunch. I wonder what we are having????
5. I had to be 'that' mom today at preschool and find out why Carter came home yesterday with his entire lunch in his lunchbox. I was told he didn't want it. Fine. But still put it out for him to pick at - and there was applesauce in there - he always will eat applesauce. Grumble.
6. I got to hold a tiny newborn this morning. Oh, how I miss that.
7. But I got an amazing hug from Carter this morning that just lingered and lingered. I know he was procrastinating getting dressed, but I don't care.
8. I am sorry I missed seeing other SS Knotties - but I was trying my hardest to get to sleep at 9pm.
9. I still don't know if I am going to a conference in MN. If I do, I would leave in 12 days. I have no idea why my indirect boss is dragging her feet in deciding. I really need to know, please.
10. I love Brothers and Sisters. I find Rob Lowe really hot and Rebecca really cute!-CT, please don't say "slacks." Please.

1. We've been married two years today.
2. The weather today is so disgusting. I just wanted to stay in bed and snuggle.
3. I also felt like I didn't get that much sleep because I had all of these really aggravating dreams last night. I woke up feeling tense and stressed. Yuck.
4. I'm starving. Will need an early lunch. I had my breakfast shake this morning as usual, cheerios when I got to work, then a granola bar, then applesauce, then half an apple (wasn't into it), then some popcorn... Baby's hungry!!
5. I need to do some laundry tonight. No excuses!
6. I was able to eat a normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner yesterday...HOORAY! I was so thrilled. I even cooked in the kitchen and did not feel sick!!!
7. I ordered more maternity clothes. Even my jeans in a size up won't zip anymore...
8. My wheels have been turning about the best way to rearrange the apartment for the baby.
9. I'm anxious for our appointment and ultrasound next week.
10. I'm jealous of CTs NYC trip!

Thanks! We are supposed to celebrate next weekend. C talked about going away for the night, but we really need a new camera, so we're going to buy that instead. We'll probably go out for dinner Saturday.

N2A - I wish we could have met you too. I think you and K could have talked Sociology all night
1. I fear I might be getting sick. So I'm going to leave early today and get ready for my 6am flight tomorrow.
2. I'm so glad K and I went to DC
3. Overall the trip to DC cost us less than $500 but the experience felt priceless.
4. My mom is making my favorite foods for me when I get home.
5. I can't believe I'll be 16wks pregnant by the time we tell K's parents.

7. I'm wearing maternity pants to work for the first time. Still a bit big but more comfortable than the Be Band was becoming.
8. I haven't checked my voicemails yet this morning because I was counting the money from our fundraiser.

1. There is not enough tea in the world today. Ugh.
2. I am trying to get back on to a better schedule. Being home all the time + Holly working/sleeping at all hours is screwing with my schedule! I feel like it shouldn't matter, but I also don't feel as productive if I sleep in and stay up late.
3. I am sick of cooking. I have been canning/cooking/freezing something (usually several somethings) every day for weeks.
4. Looking in the cupboard and seeing our stockpile of goodies makes me happy, and sucks me back in to starting something else. That, and Holly brings home surprise freebies from the market when I think I'm almost done.
5. I am a terrible mom and still haven't finished the grad announcements we meant to send out for Ren?e. She helped me pick the wording & layout in August before she moved, but then I got derailed by surgery and canning season. I feel like an idiot sending them so late, but it's worth it to send grad pictures and her new address, as well as a momento... right?
6. It is TOO LATE to send me requests for custom work for Halloween, especially if we are making something nice and starting completely from scratch. Unless you want to pay me a LOT for the rush order.
7. Finally signed up for a blog reader, picked netvibes, and am in love.
8. Wow, might actually have 10 things. I tried the last couple weeks but just deleted when I could only get to 4.
9. Doing a crash course in how to be a good doula for a friend who is due next month. Any tips appreciated.
10. I don't mind fall, but I am not ready for cold. Brrr.

2. I don't care that it's so late, it's still Tuesday so I'm still going to write my ten things.
3. I feel like I might be getting sick. Although I am not happy about it, staying in bed/on the couch all day does sound sort of nice...
4. It's fall break! No class today, just ran errands and did homework.
5. We got DVR today!
6. I just friended some of you on FB by searching my email account. I totally didn't know that was an option! I would've done it sooner if I'd known. If I friended you and you want to say no for privacy reasons (or any reason), I will not get my feelings hurt! If anyone else wants to be my FB friend, let me know!
7. I want cake. This is not new, I want cake every night of my life.
8. My SIL is due in 3 weeks! Oh my... I didn't realize it was so soon! Holy Moly! My first niece or nephew is almost here! Is nephew the strangest word ever?
9. I got my student teaching placements and I'm thrilled with them! 2nd grade for 10 weeks and 3rd grade for 6 weeks. YAY!
10. When #9 is finished I get to graduate
and then I get to TTC 
and then I get to move out of this dumb city
