Re: did you go to a fall festival yet?

  • I like to take the girls to the Orchid.  We found on in PA and we love, it's huge and most of everything is free.  Except for pumpkins face painting.

We went to this other Orchid for years, then for some reason the started to charge an entry fee it would end up being 30.00 just to get in, then you had to pay for every singel activity, wagon rental and your pumpkins...lame!!!!

  • No and I don't think we are going to make it to one this year. Since labor day we have had something every weekend and we do not have a free weekend until November 7th so I think we may just skip it this year :(

  • My H and I did last weekend. It was mostly local restaraunts and vendors though. Not enough crafts and fall stuff for me. I still want to go to a pumpkin patch if I can find one close by.
  • We went to one in Eureka Springs and one here in OK. We also went to Octoberfest, does that count?
  • Not yet...but I want to :)

BTW, your siggy pic is so cute!!!!!

  • Not yet. We've been to our Renn Faire but I want to go to a fall festival, but we're busy until the 25th...Hopefully we'll go then.

  • Not yet--and probably won't. The snow came in way too soon in our neck of the woods. It was snowing last weekend!

  • This past Saturday, the IL's came down and we went to an Oktoberfest in Hickory, NC.  It mostly consisted of local bands trying to not sound horrible and DH, FIL and I sampling every beer in the whole festival.  MIL pouted (cuz she is an evil wench).  We also had good german food.  When we were good and buzzed, we danced to an oompah band to a song called "He's too fat for me" which was hillarious.  Finish it off with a bunch of arts and crafts and we have fulfilled the fall festival requirements Stick out tongue

  • Not so much a festival but friends and I are going to a local apple orchard/pumpkin patch at the end of the month.
  • We went to Oktoberfest last weekend if that counts

  • I went to an apple festival this past weekend.  The weather was gorgeous and the scenery was lovely.  It would have been wonderful if you love country crafts, but it's not my style.  There were some yummy snacks though.

  • I went to one at a local garden center/nursery this past Saturday with my niece, SIL, mom and SIL's mom. This Saturday my mom and I will make our annua trek 2 hours away to another one, as long as the weather cooperates.

  • I stay at home and have two kids under age 4, so we hit up a pumpkin farm at least once a week in October Big Smile  We've been to one local one and an apple farm, and we have two more planned for the next couple of weeks.  This weekend we're going on a hayride with my son's playgroup.  I love the apple cider donuts and apple cider, and watching the kids go crazy on the rides and in the pumpkin field.

  • Going to a harvest fest this weekend with my aunt and her friends -- Love going to them. Smile
