Re: Morning! (Wednesday)

  • Yesterday Dh made chicken chili in the crockpot. It was so nice to not have to actually cook. I think I really need to use the crockpot more often! Friends came over for dinner and then we played the dice game Greedy. Tonight going shopping and dinner with the girls.

  • Went to school and after that took a Salsa lesson.  It was so much fun!  I already know the movements but I've never learned how to dance with a partner.  Spanish music is definitely my genre.  I tried taking a hip hop lesson and I sucked so bad.  I have the rhythm but can't quite get the choreography.  Salsa I picked up on extremely quickly.

  • Kasi~ yay for teh salsa lessons! I love dancing and was sad I never could fit a dance class in my schedule when I was in college.

Good morning. Last night was pretty quiet. I finished Eclipse, so I'll start Breaking Dawn today. Than I'll have to find nother book series to read. Tonight we're meeting one of Chris's friends for sushi tonight.

I'm debating making a victorian gown for holloween. A friend of mine is throwing a victorian themed holloween party that I REALLY want to go to, but all my dresses are the wrong era. But if I'm gonna make one I really need to get started, so maybe I'll stop by Joanne tonight and see if I can find some decent fabric at a cheap price. Of course this is all contingent on if I can talk H into going dressed up. He's not a big costume person. Which is too bad because he'd be so hot dressed as a victorian gentleman. <swoon>

  • Good morning :0)
Kas that sounds like a fun class! :0)
nothing exciting w e didnt go to OC last night when I got home Jared was passed out so I didnt want to wake him. I made dinner and we picked up the boys from school about 7pm (they had football practice and then they went over to help with the homecoming parade float)
nothing going on today just more of the same work, dinner, cleaning
  • Good morning. So tired today! :( And I forgot my cell phone. I feel so naked.

Last night H and I went to his co-workers house for a party. They have some spread. 2.5 acres near Lake Matthews (off Cajalco). It was something else.

Tonight, just relax and hopefully go to bed early.

The victorian themed halloween party sounds like so much fun! Now that would be a costime party that I would actually attend! I'm not one for dressing up.

Book recomendation: I know you are into the Renisance. Do you like historical fictions? If you do, maybe check out the Outlander series. Basic premise, WWII nurse goes back into time through a circle of standing stones to the Highland era in Scotland. It's very good!

  • Morning!

Kasi-that sounds like fun.I've been trying to convince MH to take a dance class with me. So far no dice.

Melinda-Ohh awesome. You definitely to need to convince C and take tons of pics for us.

My night was the same as usual. Thanks to Robyn and Kristy I made waffles for dinner. But at least I snuck some pureed carrots into the batter and Isabel didn't notice the difference.

And I completely forgot to post this-Joaquin started crawling this weekend! So I spent a lot of time chasing him

  • Kasi - I've always wanted to try salsa because it looks so fun!

Melinda - yay for Breaking Dawn! And yay for having sewing skills! i wish I could make my own clothes. My mom has tried to teach me but I'm too impatient.

I got my hair done after work yesterday. It was really wierd picking L up that late. I'm so thankful I have a job that lets me get off so early. We had grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner :) and hung out.

I actually took the lesson at school after my last class.  They have free lessons on Tuesdays.  I heard they have them at San Manuel for free as well.  It was a lot of fun and a work out for sure!

Ooooh, you're on the Twilight bandwagon I see!  Took me forever to jump on but was hooked once I started reading.  Love love love the last book!  So team Jacob or Team Edward?

I say you make a costume...get started!  Homemade costumes are the best.  You can put our own unique touch to it and they actually look much better than store bought.

Andrew won't take a class with me either!  I decided to just do it without him.  I need a partner but he won't go for it.  he says it look feminine...all he's ever seen is the ballroom version though.  Sad

And Yay for J crawling! Woot!

  • Becki, you should take one.  It's really a lot of fun.

I'm not a sewer either.  I am way too impatient but I would love to be able to make my own costumes.

  • Morning

Melinda: do it! promise him naughty things if he dresses up. I want pics too. of the costume.....not you fulfilling your promises.

Kat: that's an awesome idea, and yay for J!

C is starting to pull himself up. Lordie help me. P doesn't work tonight so we'll just hang out. On a side note, a cardigan I bought years ago & never wore finally served it's purpose today. I feel so pretty.

Double yay here. Feeling pretty can sometimes be so rare. I'm glad you finally wore it.

Feeling pretty does seem quite rare these days. Yay for the cardigan! Is C crawling? He'll be into everything now!! Last night L was in his walker while I made dinner. He pulled the trashcan down and then shoved it all over the kitchen (it was in front of him) with his arms outstretched trying to reach it.

lol darn walker was in the way!

C is anti crawl. He's the king of scooting instead. He will lean all the way over for something. If he can't quite reach it, he will scoot a bit & then try again. It's quite funny/pathetic all at once. He refuses to be on all fours like the dogs.

    That's too funny!

I can't believe how old they all are now (Mary, Cameron, Luke). Soon they will all be having their birthdays and walking!

Love this! What a funny kid!

  • Brandy-Yey for feeling pretty. I could use some of that right now.

And I thought J was going to be anti crawl too. I would put something out of his reach to get him to crawl to it, except since he's so long he just had to lay down and he could get it. But if I put it too far, he lost interest.

And Isabel didn't crawl till she was 10mths than 2 weeks later started walking and never crawled again. Until about 6mths ago when she started pretending to be a dog Smile

  • I worked yesterday then had a Jr League volunteer job last night with a career panel for foster kids.  It was amazing!  I love working with them!
Today is work then just hanging out tonight with C and Sarah.  Which will be nice.
Dad had his PET scan on Friday and he got the results yesterday and everything look GREAT!!  We are so excited!!  They said it looked better than the last scan he had!  Yay, dad!
Brandi - feeling pretty is awesome!  What does the sweater look like? Becki - That's so funny about L!   Melinda - Make the dress and take lots of pics! Kasi - Salsa is so much fun!  I took a class a few years ago and loved it!  Too bad C would never do it.   I think I see some waffles being made in the near future... Have a good day!

  • Robyn- Yeah my friend who?s throwing it throws some awesome parties. And I?ve been looking for an excuse to make a Victorian gown. J Thanks for the book recs. I?ll check the Outlander series out. Sounds interesting. I've also been thinking about going back to the Anita Blake series. I've missed the last 4 books that have come out. I do love historical fiction.

Kat-good for you sneaking in some carrots into the waffles! I?ll have to try that to get H to eat his veggies. ;) Yay for J crawling!

Becki- The only reason I got into sewing was for faire, and really my skills leave much to be desired, but it is fun to have the finished product. Yay for new hair cut! Grilled cheese and tomato soup sounds like a yummy dinner. Perfect for the weather.

Kasi-I needed both class times to get all my classes done. :/  Yeah, I decided a couple weeks ago I should catch up on the Twilight craze. I?m enjoying it. I?m Team Edward for sure. I?m a sucker for vampires. I?d definitely make my own costumes, I?m too picky. J

Brandy- You crack me up, but good idea. ;)

  • Lori: I took a picture w/my cell phone, but I can't post w/out an URL #. :( It's an olive green.

    Kat: ha! woof, woof. <3

Thanks ladies, pretty days are rare these days.

  • Mel, I was drawn to Edward until I saw pics of Jacob  (Taylor Lautner) for the upcoming movie.  Who cares if he's 17....I can dream.

  • Melinda - You should do the costume and dont forget pics!

    Becki - Pics please!

Brandy - I think I've told this story before but my youngest sister never learned to crawl and always pulled herself around using her hands. My parents were afraid something was wrong with her and took her to the ped who told her there was nothing wrong with my sister other than the fact that she had 4 slaves she could order around and bring her stuff so she had no reason to learn to crawl. Guess C's got you 2 wrapped around his little chunky fingers ;)

Last night I forced myself to finish the awful book that my book club selected for this month. So glad I am done with it now! Hope the next selection is better. Other than that nothing exciting...got caught in the rain walking the dog and walking back home was not fun...made tacos for dinner and watched desperate housewives.

Tonight prepping something to take to my Thurs book club meeting and enjoying the rain from inside :)
