Has anyone used Kaiser Permanente for infertility issues? Thoughts?
Re: Infertility Question
Interesting that there are couple of people saying Kaiser covers IF because we have Kaiser and they don't cover it. Well, let me rephrase that, they don't cover me going to a private RE even though we have their POS plan that covers doctors outside of Kaiser. I think it all depends on the plan but from what we've been told there isn't any IF coverage with Kaiser. So definitely check your plan.
If you need to go out of network, let me know. We have an awesome RE.
I just found this site! http://www.kpivf.com/
ETA: This is for a clinic in the Bay Area but it might have some good info.
I don't know about IVF, but I know our insurance covers IUI at 50% of the cost of the procedure as well as 100% of any related medications if we needed to go that route. I'm definite that staycee had IUI's through KP here in OC.
That's a good deal. My plan won't cover any treatment. I have an 80/20 plan with them on the POS side and even that doesn't cover IF.
