Invited- what should I bring?
DH & I are invited to a small get together at a friend's- a movie night, the theme is werewolves. Any suggestions on something we could bring?
Re: Invited- what should I bring?
Please don't bring wine unless you know the couple drinks wine. We don't drink it and bottles sit for years until we have company that likes whatever variety we were given.
Personally, I like to put more thought into a gift. Something that reflects the hobbies of the hostess or something you know they could use (a set of cloth napkins? a bread basket? coasters? None of these costs more than the default bottle of wine).

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
Definitely ask what you can bring. You know your friends better than anyone here, but would think a movie-type snack would be perfectly fine. Chips & dip, a special popcorn blend, or fixins for a drink are good for movie nights.
I would suggest bringing something festive-- like Halloween cupcakes, or a few six packs of Oktoberfest beers by different distributers. Otherwise, if you really don't feel comfortable brining something specifically for the couple or to contribute to the drinks/eats, bring a bored game for after the movie.
Flowers always serve their role as well.
Is this a hostess gift or to nibble on?
Microwave popcorn with different toppings- they sell little cans of different seasonings right in the grocery store. Put it in a fall bowl for a gift.
A mix of straight up candy corn and peanuts. Tastes awesome and you can put it in a cute jar or fall bowl for a gift.
