What is the sidetrack tavern?? I can't wait to ask my husker bff about it. All we did was tailgate around the stadium last year. A bunch of her friends from growing up had tailgates (or houses near by) so we just traveled around. My parents good friends are nebraska fans as well so they always have a big tailgate that we start with.
We stopped on our way out of town the next day and had lunch somewhere. I want to say the name had the word locker or scoreboard or something in it. I could be so incredibly off though.
Re: Boutime
The Sidetrack Tavern is a hole in the wall bar on O street with a HILARIOUS house band. They take classic songs and change the words to make the songs Husker themed. It's a great time and my dad is kind of a big deal there. He gets up and dances and sings Who Put the Bomp. It's pretty much hilarious.
Some of the other well known bars are Barry's, The Brass Rail (the football players are banned from this bar), and of course there's tailgating around the stadium like you mentioned. We typically do the bar and try to stop at a couple of tailgates before heading in to the game.
I wouldn't say the Sidetrack is much like Harpos (which I dig, btw!), but it's still a great time!
