What do you do for a living?

So what do you ladies do fora living? Do you work full time? part time? SAHM?  Volunteer? SAHW?

Re: What do you do for a living?

  • I was a SAHW for a while and LOVEd it! Now since DH is not working a "real" job, I have 3 pt jobs. Community College adjunt teacher, pharmacy tech, and a little job at the Danforth Center. Even with 3 jobs, I still have time to work on Christmas present- which I am sewing pretty much all of them. If/when DH gets a real job and settled again financially, I want to quit all but teaching to me a mostly SAHW again.
  • I just got a job!  :-)  I'm super excited!  I'm a dietitian and will be working at a long term care/rehab facility. Before I got a job, I was a SAHW, and I got so bored (but that could also be because I'm a newbie in St. Louis and am still figuring things out around here).  For other SAHWs with out kids, what would you do to fill up your time?

My DH and I are talking about starting a family in the near future, and I would love to be a SAHM... but right now with DH in law school, it doesn't look like it's going to happen for a few years.

    Love my family!

  • I'm a quality engineer and work for a company that makes medical devices.  I just switched jobs in July and I'm pretty happy at my job Smile

I've been in the quality field since graduating from college in 2004.

  • I am an electrical engineer.  I have been trying to get my butt in gear to find a new job closer to home (Dardenne Prairie) but I hate looking.  Right now I work down in Franklin County, 35 mile commute but no traffic.
  • I work full time in the marketing department for a pharmaceutical company  and attend school full time.

  • LYL, we're going opposite ways! I live in FrankCo, and work in St. Charles County. I am currently a financial analyst, but I'm an accountant by training. Once I finish my MBA in May, I'll take the CPA exam. The plan is to eventually get back to accounting once I make my rounds in the company.
  • We just moved to the area about a year and a half ago.. I was working at Best Buy and going to school until a few weeks ago.. Now I'm just a student looking for a CAREER in accounting or high school counseling (opposites, yea I know).
