F&B Poll: Product Recommendations

Posted this on F&B, but not sure how many venture there so...

Recommend your favorite:

- Shampoo/Conditioner for Volume

- Volumizing Mousse

- Texturizing Product

Re: F&B Poll: Product Recommendations

  • IMO, high quality shampoo and conditioner are the best way to improve overall hair texture and appearance of hair no matter what.

I personally have used the L'Oreal Professional Line (available at some salons and on drugstore.com) for about 3 years and IMO, my hair has never looked better or been healthier.?

Because my hair is in good shape, I don't really use too many styling products. I have heard good things about GUTS and also Big Sexy Hair Root Blast (I actually have some that came as part of a package, but haven't tried it yet).

When my hair was a bit shorter, I liked to use the Pantene styling wax to piece it up a bit. I also like that David Babaii spray to add some texture, but I don't use it every day.

    HTH! ?

  • My favorite product is Aveda's Volumizing Tonic...love it. You spray it on your roots before blow drying. I don't have a specific shampoo for volume or mousse. Although Phomollient by Aveda is a good mousse.

  • I need these recommendation too...

Right now I use Herbal Essances texturizing shampoo and conditioner but its nothing too special, I'm just semi-cheap.

I use the big sexy hair root lifter spray instead of mousse and like it and use an Aveda root powder or a little Fructis pomade that DH uses to give it a little piecy texture/hold.

  • I have used Pureology for like 6 or 7 years. I have really fine, limp, color-treated hair. SO many people recommend their products and I know lots of celebrities use it (not like I care). But it is amazing and it is totally vegan and they do lots of charity work! It is kinda spendy but I wouldn't use anything else.

The other volumizing stuff I use everyday are:

    Big Sexy Hair Root Boost

    OSIS Dust It

The OSIS product may be the best hair product I have ever found. It says to put it all over your hair (I don't even know about that) but my stylist taught me to part hair in various placed and then dust it just along your part and it is instant fabulousness. Lasts all day! HTH.

This stuff is amazing... I couldnt remember what it was called.  The Aveda stuff I use is similar but I like this one better but haven't ever found it in a store.  A stylist used it on my hair for a wedding and I loved it.  I just ordered some from Amazon!  Thanks!

  • Yay! I couldn't live without this stuff. Funny, I never knew it was sold on amazon until I went looking for it, for this thread. I think I paid $22 at my salon for it. Oops. I heart amazon.
  • I am so low-maintenance with my hair. I use Herbal Essences shampoo & conditioner. That is it. I used to use the "regular" set, but lately I've been using the set for color-treated hair. No other product (except that powder stuff to put in when you don't have time to wash your hair)
