Recommend your cell phone & carrier, pretty please!

We've been toying with the idea of switching cell phone carriers once our contract is up in a couple of months (we currently have Sprint and do not need nationwide coverage anymore).  I figured I should start doing my research now, so...

Which carrier do you use?  Do you love them?

Do you also love your phone?  Why or why not?

Re: Recommend your cell phone & carrier, pretty please!

  • Which carrier do you use? Verizon Do you love them? Hate

Do you also love your phone? I have a Motorola Q9c and Hate it Why or why not? I have my phone through work so I can't really complain. DH still has US Cellular and I have to use his phone whenever I don't have service. I would absolutely go back to US Cellular if I had to pay for my own phone. I had the Motorola KRZR which I'm not sure if they make anymore but I liked it.

  • We've had US Cellular for 4-5 years now and I'm pretty happy with them.  My phone is some kind of Motorola flip phone....nothing fancy.  In fact it was probably the cheapest phone they had, as I don't really give a *** about phones!  DH has a HTC something or other (HTC Touch maybe?)  and it's alright.  Sometimes it just doesn't ring or messages don't show up until like 2 days later.  But that doesn't happen too often.  It's one of those with a big screen a slide out keyboard.
  • US Cellular.

Like them but I wish we had better coverage in our home.  Unfortunately we live in the shadow of a big hill that blocks the signal.

I have a Motorola.  LG & Motorola phones get the best signal with US Cellular trust me I know.

  • Verizon

I like it, but the plans seem so expensive.  We had to have a Nationwide plan since we travel between here and Michigan, and I travel for work a couple times a year.  The only time I've had a problem with service was in our old apartment which was blocked by steel beems in the ceilings.

I have a blackberry and love it, but I use it for work mostly, and if it wasn't for work I would have a hard time paying the extra for a data package.

  • U.S. Cellular. They get the best coverage in this area, and up north at my family's cabin. Can't speak to pricing as we get ours through work, but I deal with paying the bill and their customer service is great.

I have a Blackberry Curve and I LOVE it. Gets excellent reception and I'm rarely in an area where I don't have internet access.

  • I have been using U.S. Cellular for about ten years and have never had a problem with them.  I would never think of switching.  I don't do anything fancy with my phone, so I just have the Motorola Razr, but I like it just fine.
  • We have AT&T's family plan. I like it. I have some sort of Samsung phone with works well. No complaints.

  • I am no help...we have always had Sprint and are happy with them.
  • I have Verizon. I like them because I have so many family and friends who also have them, so mobile to mobile is great. Also one of our friends works for them, so whenever we have problems we just go to him.

My phone does its job. Nothing fancy. It's the first generation NV. Good for texting.
