Do any of you girls do the "Day After Thanksgiving shopping"?

Re: EEECCKKK

  • I do, I do! I love the thrill of the hunt Big Smile No one ever want to go with me though and I'm not crazy about going alone. What e-mail did you get?
  • I subscrbed to this website called Black Friday Ads hope the link works
    http://bfads.net/

they send you the adds that get leaked before the come out in the news paper. If you want you can come with us its usually me and like 1 or 2 other girls :0)

  • I wasn't going to go last year but decided to last minute. So glad I did. And I think I went the year before too. Not sure how it will work this year with Mary but I really hope I can go!

Thanks for the link. I will go check that out.

  • I don't go. I don't like getting up early on days that I don't have to work. Dh and I normally sleep in late. The last couple of years I have done a mini thanksgiving that day so I get up and start work on the food.

Last year I cooked on that day too. So I wasn't going to go. But when I saw a glider half price. My butt was up at 3:30 in the morning. I shopped, came home and cooked and had Thanksgiving! And I would do it again cause there is no way I would pay full price for that glider.

  • I don't go. After working in retail for 3 Black friday's in a row, you couldn't pay me enough to get back out there on that day.

Ok, unless there was some kickass deal. I'm a sucker for deals. but it would have to be good.

  • last year was the craziest year yet
I was going off of 4 hours of sleep (Its a tradition in Redlands to go to this bar the night before Thanksgiving so we got home about 3am) we had to get up about 7am to get the turkey in the oven and then we started cleaning up n getting the house ready for our families after everyone left I took about a 30min nap got up n left to the mall about 11:30pm Thanksgiving day, we shopped there till about 4am and then headed to Sports Challet, Target and all the other stores :0) I think I got home about 3 in the afternoon
  • I have never been shopping on BF but have worked it before. Luckily my store didn't have any crazy specials so it wasn't too horrible. But I hate crowds and rude people so no BF for me. DH might go by himself if one of the gaming systems go low enough
  • Ya, maybe my dislike for BF stems from working retail for so many years.

  • I am convinced, work hates me. boo hoo linky is blocked.
  • I have never done the BF shopping madness.  I would probably end up like one of those people that you see on TV that got in a brawl over the last whatever that was marked down.  Ha ha.  I am not saying that I would never do it.  I just have not seen that item that I had to have for that awesome price.  My adopted Mom (I adopted her, not the other way around, lol) was just bragging about the washer and dryer set she got from Sears for about $500.00 last year.  It's top of the line.  I guessed she paid over $1000.00 when I was oooing and ahhing over them.  So I can see the appeal.

I used to work retail while I was in college. I remember having to do some BFs working at The Wherehouse and later on at Sears. Not fun!

  • I worked BF at victoria's secret and it was nuts, they didn't even have sales though!!

    I love BF shopping : )

  • I used to go. Last year we were in the middle of nowhere Utah. We probably will have to work that day this year so I won't be going unless I don;t have to work. Andrew won't go with me. I used to go with a friend every year. We would all split up (her family and us) and hit different stores and give lists to each other to buy what we wanted from whatever store they're at.  LOVED IT!
