Double Stroller Recs

I've made it almost a year without really needing one, but now that's it's summer and we're out and about more I could really use a double stroller.  Plus we're going on vacation in August and will really need it then.

So, what kind do you have?  Likes??  Dislikes?

I'm inclined to get a double umbrella stroller....

Thanks!

Re: Double Stroller Recs

  • I got the Sit and Stand Plus and really like it.  I know Noah will not want to sit in the stroller for ever so it dose offer some options.

they also sell a different color in most target stores but I got mine from strollerdepot.com

  • I really like that one!  Do you put the older one in the back?  Is it easy enough to maneuver, take in and out of the car???
  • I had a tandem that was compatible with caroline's infant car seat until recently when I decided it was too bulky to be lugging around anymore.....she hasn't been in the infant car seat for a long while anyway!

I got the Peg Perego Aria Twin 6040 and got an amazing deal on it at the building 19 baby sale that happened last week.  They did have one other one at the Nashua store so it might still be there.....it's worth a look for the deal!  It folds SO compactly and easily and maneuvers like a dream!  So far, I love it!

  • The infant seat snaps in the front.  But once the baby is out of the "baby bucket" then they can sit in either seat.  It folds easy and it isn't do difficult to put in the back of our SUV.  Its much easier to manuver than the Evenflo Take Me Too I had.  I am very happy with it.

  • Yeah, I'm having some issues with this myself, so I'm eyeing this one. All the ones that I like that work with my carseat are pricey...and I'm wondering if I should just assume that for as long as the pumpkin would be in the infant seat, couldn't I just keep it in the sling or put it in a double that is newborn friendly? Even Alex, who is a bit of a peanut...we had him into his Britax somewhere between 6-9 months, IIRC.

    Ack.

  • Okay, I finally made my decision. I'm going to go with the Zooper Tango. It's compact, folds easily, big storage basket and each seat reclines individually and comes with just about any accessory I would need. BRU is asking $429 (ugh), but I just found a store on Ebay that's selling them brand new with shipping for about $350. And I have an Ebay coupon for 10% off. So hopefully it works out!!!
