Upstate ladies - need ideas pls!

I need to have a baby shower/luncheon for about 30 ladies and need a good place to do it. Somewhere downtown G'ville maybe? Any ideas?? TIA!

Re: Upstate ladies - need ideas pls!

  • Two of my favorite places in the downtown G'ville area are Trio and High Cotton. HC's a bit pricey, (dinner-wise, haven't ever gone for lunch) and Trio has that casual/ close knit atmosphere.
Overlook Grill is right next to the Falls Park Bridge and I've always heard good things about it. The other one you might check out is a restaurant called Smoke on the Water. It's in that same Falls Park/West End area.

  • It isn't downtown...but Twigs is great for a shower! it's very quaint and cute and has an outdoor (ish) courtyard that stays cool and is perfect for a shower, luncheon or anthing similar. It is near the mall in Greenville.

    Here is there site:

  • OOOH I LOVE Mary's for this type of thing.  It's right on main street by the bridge in falls park.  It has BEAUTIFUL views, it overlooks the gardens and the park, and it has outdoor and indoor seating.  It's an adorable historic cottage, and I'm just waiting until I have an event that I can host there :)

They serve lunch from 11-2 every day.  I think you can rent it out for your private event any other time.

  • You can try:

Ocha TeaBar - they recently relocated near the river by the new Hampton End (Main St). When they were at their previous location, they would setup a their loft style (smoke-free) space for parties. The owner's name is Mallie.?

    Mary's

Brick Street Cage (off of Augusta)?

I was once invited to a baby shower at Marble Slab (on Main), but I couldn't make it. Apparently, they will let you use their space on the 2nd floor.

ALSO, when I was planning my rehearsal dinner, I noticed a restaurant called Paris (on Main). It seems perfect for a shower or a shindig.

    ?

    Good luck.?
