critique the menu for...

Please critique the menu for the wine and appetizer social I am hosting for girlfriends this weekend.

variety of cheese and crackers
spinach and cheese bites (hot)
crab dip
mini brownies
candycorn//peanuts/m&ms

I want to add one more appetizer...what would you recommend?  I have recipes upon recipes that I love....but what would be best?
mini chicken tarts/cups (pampered chef recipe)
layered mexican dip (cold)
cheese and sausage dip (hot)

I'm a bit confused.  Are you setting this up like a wine tasting or just drinking wine and having appetizers?  If you're doing the wine and apps and not a true tasting, I'd nix both of the dips and do the chicken tart.  The Mexican dip wouldn't jive with the wine.  If you're trying to do a tasting or pairing, I'd try to pick items that wouldn't really compete with the wine and would enhance it.

I agree - go with the tart. The dips seem a little casual when you list out the other appetizers and with having the wine.

I'd try to find something that doesn't have a creamy/cheesey element to it.  I don't know the chicken tart recipe, but I'd be inclined to do a chicken satay instead.
