Piggybacking off the post-wedding weight poll I posted weeks ago...
Now, and in the past, what has been your "OMG I've gained *this* much weight? Must. Stop. moment"?
Is it the way your clothes fit? How you look in a mirror? Someone asking if you if you're pregnant? Finding an unflattering photo tagged of you on FB?
Count me in the last choice. I promptly detagged, but part of me is hoping it was a bad angle.
Discuss your wake up call moments.

Re: Wake up call
Mine was walking by a mirror at a store on Wednesday. I'd been thinking "oh, I put on a little weight, my clothes are a little tight, it happens to everyone..."
Then I had that moment of "Hey, that girl's wearing the same shirt as me! *pause. look.* Oh my God. Is THAT what I look like now??!?!?!"
No more denial. In fact, I'm trying to decide which "fun" book I'm going to start reading on the bicylce/treadmill today!
Mine was when I was getting dressed for work one morning and realized the pants would barely button and I had some muffin top going on.
Luckily, I am no longer working around all that food (that I just HAD to taste). The day I quit was the day I started eating better. So far, so good. I can actually tell I have lost a little. I think it was a lot of bloat, but I really can tell a difference in just a week.

I've had 3 in the past month.?
1) Same thing as SBS, caught a glance of myself in the mirror at a store and saw that the pockets in my jeans were literally bursting out--so gross. I couldn't believe it was me.
2) a picture my daughter took of me. I looked like a 400 lb swamp creature. Granted, she's 2.5 feet shorter than I am and it was a weird angle, but still. It was horrifying.
3) I tried on this black wrap dress I've had for years. It actually fit better 5 WEEKS after I had my daughter than it did 2 weeks ago. Talk about depressing.?
Aww, all your stories are tragically funny, and I mean that in the nicest way.
I'm hoping that with a normal schedule I can get back on track with eating and maybe even gym time. Plus not having my azz glued to the couch for 18 hours a day will help.

I was just asked yesterday if I was pregnant. When I said NO, the lady said that I "glowing" all the time.
OK - Whatever!

For me, it's seeing myself in pictures. I think you really get a good view of what others see of you, not like in a mirror where you can stand at the most flattering angle.
The sad thing is, when that happened and I really turned things around, I lost like 40 pounds and I really felt great about myself, thought I looked great at the wedding and everything. And...people still ask me if I am pregnant. I am a size 8! (even sometimes a 6). That is re-god-dam-diculous.
