My neighbors rescued a dog yesterday from someone that was going to use him as a "trainer" dog in a dog fighting ring. Now we are trying to find a good home for him. He is SUPER sweet and probably right about a year old. He is house broken and really just wants to play and be loved. My neighbors would love to keep him but they already have 5 dogs so they just can't keep him. He is SOOO sweet and smart. He is free to a good home. If you would like any more information or a picture, please send me an email at c_powers1 at hotmail dot com.
Re: Rescued Dog
If you don't mind, I can can forward your information to a few people I know that work with rescue groups in the area. They may be able to help.
Can I ask if they reported this dog fighting ring to the police? If they know who is responsible, they absolutely ought to. Those people need to be in jail.
Please, please, please be careful about saying the dog is free to a good home, especially if you are advertising to people you don't know. Some bad people out there look for these advertisements & then do awful things to dogs. A good example is using these dogs as "bait" dogs for dog fighting rings.
Here is a local example of this:

Okay stepping off my soapbox, so what type of dog is he?
