IKEA

Hi.  Just wondering if anyone has purchased the baby furniture at IKEA.  Any reviews?  Good/Bad?

 Thanks, Nancy

Re: IKEA

  • I haven't purchased that type of furniture (no kids yet), but I have recently purchased a the tall Malm 6-drawer dresser, Mikael corner desk and Naturlig hamper from Ikea. I love the furniture and I love Ikea, but some of the stuff is a pain to put together (worth it though).

  • I'm friends with RoseWhite on FB and I believe she bought these amazing curtains from Ikea.  Her whole nursery is absolutely adorable. She bought a lot of stuff from Etsy too.  I don't look on the bump, but she may post there so you can ask her about the rest of the furniture.

We recently bought furniture for our condo from Ikea (TV stand, lamps, kitchen table and chairs, desk, corner unit) and all are great to far.  The quality isn't amazing and I know it won't last forever and ever, but it's definitely up to par or better than anything else in it's price range.  I do have to admit thats its a huge PITA to put together if you buy a lot of stuff.  We spent many hours assembling!

Oh and for the things that we want to hold on to for a long time (our couch and coffee table) we bought from American Signature.  They have great quality pieces for very affordable prices.

    HTH :)

  • My husband and I love IKEA! What we love is the fact that many of there pieces can be disassembled and put back together unlike many pieces from Office Depot (computer desks especially) I know the quality isn't the best but def the best bang for you buck. We have purchased endless computer desks since were always changing our mind about desks. We have purchased the expedit book shelf, 6-drawer chest, 2 night stands, and about 3 different computer desks. Also, plenty of goodies I love there knives (awesome for price) and scented candles.
