Fashionista's help

Re: Fashionista's help

  • I think they're cute...but the cheapskate in me says hell to the no for $300+.

  • They are all leather, so I think that is why they are so expensive and they are Frye.  I don't know...I'm not fashionable.  Stick out tongue  I love the grey though!
  • if you are ok with spending the money, go for it!  they'll hopefully be useful in the rain...does it even get cold where you are?

I don't know.  Crying  I'm told the winters can get into the 40's so I'm assuming so, but I find that hard to believe.  I have another pair of Frye's on my list that are $150 less and a pair of wellies for the rainy days. I'm deciding what to do!

  • No, and no. Sorry.
  • I love Frye boots and I'm dying for a pair of grey boots of any style, so I like them. But I don't know if I could pay that much for them. If you think you will wear them a lot, yes they are worth it. But you might be able to find a similar style for cheaper.

  • YL - that is what I'm thinking.  I really like them, but I just don't know if they are cute enough for the price.  MH said to get them (which alone made my jaw drop) but I can't justify the price to myself.
  • I'm not a fan of riding boots.  So, I def. wouldn't pay $300 for a pair.

  • I love riding boots, and I think they're cute. I wouldn't buy them for that price, but if hubby gave the thumbs up maybe you should go for it.

P.S. I remember most of the winter being around 60 degrees with random drips into the 50s or 40s. Also isn't the rainy season in the summer?

  • Yep W, it rained ALL summer long..and spring too.  The winter is supposed to be the really nice season around here.
  • I like them, but yes, they are expensive.  However, if they are really well made and you'll use them a lot, then I think it's worth it.

(This is coming from someone who hates spending over $60 on shoes.)

  • I think they are super cute!

But I wouldn't pay $300 for them.  But that goes for almost any other shoe too, because I'm just not a shoe person.  And, I can be cheap when it comes to my clothes and shoes, as you know.

    PS, miss you, ho.

  • i think they're super cute and a classic-looking style, so you'll get a lot of use out of them.  they're also fryes, so you know they'll last.

i just don't know if i'd do the grey, because i fear it may be too trendy, although i like the color too.

too bad for me, i've bought several pairs of riding boots in the last couple of years and always end up returning them because i just look stupid in them.
