bachelorette party ideas...

so theres the obvious things, haha like if I decide to drive down to hustler of hollywood to get stuff but does any one have any ideas or maybe something you saw or did at a bachelorette party?

Re: bachelorette party ideas...

  • My sister had snacks & rented out a private spa area where we had a hot tub, pool, yard/deck & some of us got massages...also talked & got fun gifts! lol

**She did this for me, I mean.  I ended up doing a sister thing - got her a massage & then we got mani-pedis together & some of the bridesmaids & I did brunch w/ her the day b4 her wedding...we were all out of town so it was nuts! lol

  • My MOH threw a Pure Romance party for me and we had a blast.. but you have to have the right group of course to make it really memorable, and make sure you make it clear that no one buys anything for you!
  • We did drinks and appetizers at my MOH's house, and then out to a bar in the city. I wanted to go out, but not go nuts. This was perfect.

She had also considered doing a private party at one of those pole dancing studios, with drinks/dinner before/after.

  • I went to a bparty that was a class on pole dancing. Not sure if they have that in your area. It was fun. Then we went bar hopping.

A spa day is fun. Or wine tasting if you have vineyards nearby. Rent a party bus and do the tour.

  • We threw a wine and cheese tasting party for my MOH when she got married.  We went out for dinner and dancing afterwards but they weren't absolutely necessary.
  • For one of my friends parties, we went to someone's house for dinner and pregaming and then out to some bars afterward.  For decorations at the house though we did something really cute; we each bought the bride a pair of panties and tied them together as garland over one of the doorways.  It was really cute and just a little sexy without getting too raunchy.

  • My answer will always be weekend in Vegas, the Thunder Down Under show at Excaliber. Girls Vegas trips are few and far between, but so worth it. No real planning needed. Buy some stuff for the bride and head out to the strip. Takes care of itself.

  • My best friend can party like the rest of 'em but at 29 - for whatever, she didn't want to do the typical drinks/apps at a hotel room then the DT Minneapolis bar scene. The other thing she didn't want was for her guests to have to pay anything (the three of us who paid for the party-knew this..and she also offered $ - we said no).

It was at a BM's house - we had a HUGE spread of food (from sushi to dips), red and white beer, beer and her signature cocktail (cucumber sake martinis). Food done.

In another room  -we had 3 chair massage therapists we rented out from a local massage school. They were there for 4 hours - and since the party was fairly contained (not everyone wanted one) people got about 20 minute massages of their choice.

In the kitchen-we hired a psychic....people so dug this and she did readings. We hired her for 4 hours.

In the living room-we had our favorite old movies going - Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink .... and set up mani/pedi stuff for everyone to take advantage of. And we had a bunch of board games/card game sout.

It was like a huge slumber party. We even ordered pizzas for later. She said it was the best time of her life.

So, between three girls-it cost us a little over $1,000.00 - but it was worth it. If we'd gotten hotel rooms, limos or party buses, etc. dinner, booze, covers...it would've been close to $300 a piece anyway.
