OBGYN of Fairfield County

I mostly lurk here but am looking for any information you ladies might have about OBGYN of Fairfield County. I only started going there a year ago for my annual checks but recently discovered we're expecting so I'm trying to get a sense of what their prenatal/labor & delivery care is like.

 Thanks!

Kathleen

Re: OBGYN of Fairfield County

  • Excellent!  My gyn is Dr. Van Dell, but Dr. Jacobs delivered DD, and he was wonderful.  Like many group practices, when you're PG, you rotate your check-ups through all the doctors so you've seen them all.  Although I wasn't crazy about that, the fact is that is what OB is like nowadays.  I found all the doctors to be very caring and knowledgeble and highly recommend them.

  • For my yearly visits and I really liked it there.

I had a m/c in December and I wasn't very happy with the way that they treated me.  They never called me back with test results or bloodwork and the doctor on call wasn't very sensitive.  It's too bad, I did like it there before then.

    Sorry :-(

  • I see Dr. Russel Turk in Riverside.  I recently had a baby that he delivered, he was wonderful during my pregnancy and my labor and delivery experience.  I highly recommend him and I am not an easy person to please.
  • I've been going there for eight years now. Dr. Jacobs and VanDell delieved my son.

The one thing I hated was feeling like I had to see every doctor before my due date. After I delievered (via emegency c section), I decided that I only wanted to see one doctor. Since the next will be a scheduled c section, I decided  to only see Dr. Tandon.

I LOVE her. I've had a lot of issues since having DS, and she always is there to listen, offer tissues when I was crying, and giving me medical advice that I trusted.

Anyway, good luck to you and congrats on your BFP!!

  • OMG I love them!!  I have not delivered yet, still 13 days from my due date - but I highly recommend them!

Dr. Jacobs, Van Dell and Tandon are my favs so far!!

  • I love them also. Dr. Tandon is awesome. Dr. Blair delivered my son and she was great. I wasn't so sure about delivering at bpt hospital, but they were absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend them!
