I go to the Texas games and am disgusted when fans start booing, but I'd like to hear other opinions.. especially the "booers"

Re: Booing
I join in booing for:
A football game (baseball, maybe, too), when a call is so blantantly wrong by the officials. Luckily, the instant replay has helped this.
A baseball game when the guy who comes up to bat has recently been in the news for DUI, beating his wife, drugs, steriods, etc.
I try to avoid booing anyone on the team I cheer for, but it happens sometimes...

Yup.
I think this is where it crosses the line.
Why? Crosses what line?
Of fandom. Real fans don't boo their own team / players. I'm not saying that fans will always be 100% happy with how their team is playing, but booing your own team shows a real lack of class. Sorry.
OK. Thanks for telling me I am not a real fan.
We can agree to disagree.
I can't imagine booing my own team.
I have booed the refs though.
Fair enough.
I generally don't boo teams I support, but if they are playing like crap despite having the highest payroll in a given sport, they deserve it. I also booed LaTroy Hawkins for wearing Paul O'Neill's number last year. Childish, maybe. He did, however switch numbers because of the reaction of the fans
Agreed. If I am at a pro game and the place kicker misses a 4th FG attempt, or a receiver drops an 8th pass he should have caught, I'd potentially boo. I also would possibly boo a coach for calling a punt and not going for it on 4th and inches in some instances when at a pro game in person.
College seems different to me, but I don't go to as many college games in person.
This. I think it's very situational. I definitely don't dislike booing..it's just part of sports.
I sarcastically talk about my teams when they make a bad play - I don't ever boo them though. Example: for awhile during Homecoming on Saturday, Oklahoma State couldn't tackle a player to save their life. I said something about that and was super upset - but I NEVER booed them.
Now, I tend to boo the refs a lot because most of the time, they miss at least one or two calls. I want a fair game, and most times, it's not called that way. Grr.
It kinda bothers me when we boo the other team, but as long as no one boos when a player gets hurt, I keep my mouth shut.
I don't mind booing refs, coaches, pro players, anyone who has sports as their paid job.
I'm not so keen on booing college students who are trying their best and make mistakes.
"It's a child, not a cheeto" Thanks mmariluh!
"Ew. I've read all of two posts from you, and you stink like rotting garbage."
