I took George Carlin for Granted

He's on HBO right now and I'm sad.

I've always wanted to see him, he's around all the time. My dad told me he'd take me for my bday about 6 years ago. He said he'd get the tickets. My mom and I thought he did but when we went to make plans to get there.... he'd forgotten to. They've seen him a few times at least.

So I thought about going every time he came...

.......and now I can't.

Bye George. I guess I can cross off one of my 43 things.... sigh

Re: I took George Carlin for Granted

  • 43 things???? I assume that is 43 things you want to do before you die?  but why 43.  Most people go with 50 or 100....Only you would pick 43!  Kindly explain?  Or do you have 50 but 7 of them have already been accomplished?

Once again you are a mystery to me Britni (I was going to say egnima but I dont know how to sp1ell it and after three glasses of wine I don't give a damn about spell checker)

    90 books in 2015?

  • I saw him in Vegas about 10 years ago. ?One of the funniest nights ever! ?I will def. miss him. ?I loved his sense of humor!
  • I love him.  I took Pat to see him for his birthday years ago and we had a great time!
  • I <3 George Carlin, he always had me in stitches!  I unfortunately never got to see him in person!  Its so sad when the world loses a comedian.  It takes a special person to make ppl laugh all the time.  I was sad when Chris Farley, Sam Kinison and Phil Hartman died. At least they are all laughing in heaven!
  • I watched that HBO tribute last night too, Britni.  He was so friggin' funny!
