Restaurants
So, I know the board is slow, and to get it moving a little, I thought I would let you all know about this great BBQ restaurant that DH and I ate at tonight.
It's called Smoking Joe's Bar-Be-Que. It's on Washington Ave in St. Louis and it's amazing! This has been the best BBQ restaurant that I've eaten at since moving to St. Louis. There's a live band there on Friday and Saturday nights, and the chef/owner will sometimes come out and sing. Plus, he gets so happy that people are enjoying themselves, that he gives out free rounds. DH and I were talking about going back already and bringing a bunch of friends. So, I encourage you all to try it out!

Hmm well actually I guess I do.
My family went out to Eckert's in Belleville today to take the little one pumpkin picking. While we were there, we ate at the Eckert's family restaurant. I must say it had the best fried chicken I have ever had. I also could not get enough of their fried bisquits, apple butter, green beans and mashed potatoes. Now that is my idea of home cooking and I can't wait to go back.
Oh and the country store was also wonderful.
Maybe this Christmas we will have to go out to Our Lady of the Snow's and stop by for more fried chicken.
