They were five years behind me but I recognized the name. DH said he went to Pitt so I googled him and his school district was in my area (I went to a private school that serviced a bunch of area school districts).  I ran up and dug out my yearbook and it totally looks like the same guy!  I never talked to him I'm sure but I probably watched him play basketball. The coolest thing is we didn't have football at my school so he probably didn't play for several years before he transferred back to public or another private (my school went out of business a few years after I graduated).

I have a cousin that played for the pro's. He was the punter and 3rd string QB for all the teams he played with. He played for the Bills the years that the Bills when to the SB and lost. He retired after playing for the Falcons.

DH and I went to high school in Lock Haven and then PSU with Robbie Gould- the kicker for the Bears. It's fun to see someone you know playing and actually being successful.

Fun stuff!  It's always exciting to see someone you know in the big leagues!  DH and I went to college with one of the Packers' fullbacks, John Kuhn (who was formerly with the Steelers, which DH thought was the best thing EVER).  My mom, who's a fourth grade teacher, had the younger sibs of Marquis Colston & is friends with the family (just finagled signed jerseys for DH & BIL, in fact), one of the wide receivers for the Saints (and, coincidentally, he's a hometown boy - graduated from Susquehanna Twp.).  Even though neither team is "our" team, it's still always fun to catch them in a game.
