How was everyone's weekend?

It was finally cool here so it really felt like Fall! It was very exciting. Is anyone getting snow? I can't believe the amount of snow some parts of the country are getting already. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Re: How was everyone's weekend?

  • We did the pumpkin patch thing with the babes. They loved it.

  • Mine was good... crazy, but good.  Drove about 400 miles on Friday for a wedding, then up to my parents place for tailgating in Madison, WI on Saturday.  It was a lot of fun, but I am so tired now.  Driving home yesterday felt like it took forever!

  • It was very rainy/windy this weekend - perfect weekend to sleep!

Made Chili w/ Cornbread on Sunday.  Eagles lost =(  Phillies won!

We generally don't see snow this soon; and we were lucky, but my car did have ice on it this morning!!!  Not happy about that, I'm very thankful for my remote start!  But it's supposed to go back up in the 70's later this week!

  • angel, love the pics of the kids!

We had a pretty good weekend. Visited a friend and her bf, went shopping at an awesome mall, had the best pizza ever, and watched baseball and football. Plus friend's bf sneakily showed me friend's e-ring. He's going to propose in a few weeks!!

  • Mine honestly kinda sucked.

Pulled muscle in my back the same weekend that we're trying to get things ready for putting the house up for sale.  Felt useless and in a fair amount of pain all weekend.  Its slowly getting better, but it drove me nuts not being able to help.

  • Good but long weekend. DH and I took a road trip to NH and MA this weekend... it rained here the past 4 days, and finally stopped on Sunday after church thank goodness.  Got a lot of things done at the house yesterday too.

  • angel - Your kids are the cutest ever!

Normal weekend of helping husband do his homework and cleaning.  We got our 1st snow Friday morning :(  My car was nice and frosty this morning!

  • Looks like the kiddos had a lot of fun at the pumpkin patch!

Friday I went to a salon workshop wth a friend. They teach you new techniques for styling your hair and dinner.  Saturday hung out with M as he wasn't feeling very well.  We watchted a ton of office episodes.  Sunday went fabric shopping with my SILs to find bedding for her son. We are going to make some stuff.  Then I went to one of my SIL's house to attempt sewing.

  • Pretty good weekend for me too. It was DH's 30th birthday on Friday, so we drove 7 hours up to Door County, Wisconsin and stayed in a b&b. His parents, sister, BIL, and two of his best friends had also driven up to surprise him. It all went off really well, I think. Glad to be home though. I feel like I need an extra day to recover from the drive back yesterday.

  • I had an interesting weekend.

Didn't get everything done I NEEDED to get done, but did have a lot of fun ;)

Friday I was home most of the day "working" (aka sleeping because I got a migrane from lack of caffeine - no fun). Saturday morning I had to observe another instructor teach a four-hour English class.

Saturday night, my H and I couldn't decide which movie we wanted to go see, so we drove 1.5 hours to Disneyland instead to watch "Fantasmic" and the "Halloween Screams Firework Show". We rode two rides and drove home at midnight.

Yesterday I went to my friend's house to work on craft projects. I made a ribbon wreath. I'll post pics tonight (already on my way out the door to work -- it's only 6:35 a.m. here in CA -- and I won't get home until after 9:00 p.m.!)

  • Angel: Sorry to be repetitive, but those kids of yours are so darn cute!

Nothing big happened for me, hubby is in SD with his Dad pheasant hunting, so I am at my parents packing up my stuff for the big move! I only took clothes with me after the wedding cause I knew we would be getting a house in the near future.

I did some baking...recipes to come on the J09 blog.

I also went to see All About Steve and was kind of disappointed in it. The trailer looked so much better then the movie actually was.

  • Had a nice relaxing weekend. The only planned thing we had going on was our friend's halloween party Saturday. It was a lot of fun. Sunday we just relaxed and napped as the weather was cold and dreary. Monday came too soon!

  • I can't believe everyone had such cold weekends, it was in the 90's here! I had a long weekend this week. We were moving on Thursday and Friday. Saturday was spent unpacking (not totally) and organizing for a get together at our new house on Saturday night. Seriously, who plans to have people over that soon after moving in?! Sunday we were both absolutely exhausted from the prior three days. We spent the day laying in bed watching movies, at the dog park, grocery shopping, and driving around our new neighborhood discovering the amenities. All in all, a very productive few days. Man I'm tired though!

I heard that was one of the worst movies EVER.  I can't believe anyone would even think the previews were funny!!

Anyway, I went to New Orleans this weekend to go out with some friends and for a bridal shower thrown by 80 year olds who still believe that bridesmaids should be treated like slaves.  We seriously got yelled at by all these old ladies because we weren't doing a good job handing the bride her gifts, handing her scissors when she needed them, and collecting the ribbons (which she didn't even want to keep). So that was lame. But, it was a fun weekend!

  • I just rolled in the office here - facebooking and eating my apple jacks. haha

My Biggest Loser competition ended this weekend, which is awesome! I went and weighed in on Saturday. I didn't win the competition, but I lost 14% of my body fat. I'm concerned that I won't be able to maintain, but at least I know I have the abilty to lose it.

Saturday night I went to the best bachelorette party - about 14 of us girls went to a casino. We ate at the buffet, which was really good, and went to the club that was there, which was sooo fun. The bride and I stayed up til 6am because we decided at 3am that we might as well just stay up all night. I learned how to play craps and roulette.

I came home Sunday and slept until I had to get up to get ready for my interview at this new club that's opening up on Halloween. I got the job right after I interviewed for it which I was awesome for me. The club is not done being remodeled, so I'm going to go help finish it up for the next couple of weeks. It's an exciting time.

Also, Alex got an iPhone, which I'm jealous of, but I will get over it... probably when my contract ends with t-mobile.

  • It was 80 or so all weekend here and it was great! DH and I went to the CU Kansas game on saturday with some friends and watched CU pull off an upset.

DH took his car in for 30,000 miles and they found something wrong with his power steering that was covered under warranty until august. We went back this morning to pick it up and they guy that he was working with had talked to his manager and they are fixing it today for free! We both bought our cars at that dealership and they will be getting more of our business for sure.

Otherwise a pretty boring weekend for me while DH did homework and studied when we were home.

  • I wasn't around all weekend and I don't think I have been on the nest since Friday! We went to the WVU/Marshall game and froze our bums off. At least it was a good game and we got to see some friends! Yesterday we went to dinner with the ILs and BIL and his wife!
