iPhone Apps for Toddlers?

My dh thinks I'm absolutely nutty for letting my dd play with my iphone, but she's proven to be very gently and savvy with it.  She loves looking through my photo album.  I've noticed some apps for toddlers that teach letters, #'s, shapes, etc.  Any worthwhile?

  • I'm kinda with your husband on this.  An iPhone is not a toy for toddlers.

    ditto this.

  • Actually, OUR toddler gets entertained with DH's iPhone all the time- it's been great for waits at restaraunts and waiting rooms. We don't just hand him the phone and let him go at it- but, there are some great apps for them.

Doodle Kids is a great drawing app, developed BY a kid. He likes to pop Bubble Wrap. And Voice Toddler Cards is a very nice 99c app. We just pull up YouTube for videos sometimes, too.

Yes, this is exactly what I'd use it for.  Keeping dd still waiting for a meal has become quite the challenge lately.  Thanks for the recs!

  • I am a nanny and my iPhone is my saving grace with the 2 year old.  She uses her mom's all the time, too!  and the games are great, Doodle Kids is her favorite! Another good one is Sid the Science Kid.
