Baby #2/Mommy Shower
Does anyone have any ideas for a Mommy shower? I know it is supposed to provide some pampering for the mom-to-be, but other than making your own bath salts I am at a loss. Thanks!

I had always heard that any other baby shower, besides the first, was supposed to be centered around the mother. I thought a spa theme would fit into that category pretty well, but am entirely open to suggestions.
I am from a little ol'hicktown in Missouri (I pronounce the "i") so our Miss Manners guidelines could be a little skewed as well. Any advice would be appreciated.
I think it is incredibly nice of you to throw this type of shower. I gave birth in October of 07 and then again in October of 08 - and the second pregnancy was not easy - and I ended up wearing the exact same maternity clothes
I think a spa/pampering/beauty/getaway/take care of yourself/buy yourself some new clothes shower would be awesome. I would serve very "glamorous" types of foods and drinks and make it very fun. Perhaps cosmos, pink lemonade etc.
I'm not sure what your budget is - could you hire someone to give manicures? Maybe from a local trade school?
And since you are from the South, I would definitely show the movie "Steel Magnolias" - one of the best movies ever made.
