Pro vs College Clicky Poll

Just wondering which you prefer?

Me, I prefer Pro.  Probably because I went to a, 3000 student, D2, engineering school, with very crappy sports teams and I never got into any local D1 teams...

  • College >>> the "No Fun League"

  • I was strictly a college girl for a long time.  Now I watch and root for a few pro teams, but my heart is still with college. There's just something pure about playing for the love of the game and the glory of winning, as opposed to playing for a paycheck or a bonus for so many tackles.
  • I vote other.  It definitely depends on the sport.  I love college basketball, but hate the NBA.  On the other hand, I much prefer pro football and baseball to college.

This. It's the same for basketball with me as well. I'm a huge college basketball fan but not so much NBA.

  • I like pro better than college.  I love my Ohio State Buckeyes, but other than their games, I can't get into college football whereas I can watch almost any pro game and be interested in it, whether my teams are playing or not.

    This, exactly.

  • I love just about all college sports, especially football and basketball. I'm starting to turn more towards pro baseball and football, but I'm not all the way there yet. I'll never lose my passion for college sports, I'm pretty sure.

Now, I am an NBA fan - that was my first love. Even though they refuse to play defense, and there's more drama there than there was in my high school girls' bathroom, it'll always have a place in my heart. :P

Don't get me wrong, I am still strictly a college football girl but I am not sure the above statement is entirely accurate.  I used to think college players play "for the love of the game and professional players just do it for the money", but you have to admit many college players have the ulitmate goal of getting into a professional league and making money.  Therefore, their ultimate motivation is perhaps just as financial as the professional players.

But, in full disclosure, I am a Georgia fan so I am (1) annoyed by our horrible season (2) annoyed because we lost a couple of players early to go pro and (3) picking on a gator fan cause I hate Florida Stick out tongue.

Hah -- I can't say I blame you.  As much as I dislike the Dawgs, I do feel for y'all (and think you got absolutely hosed by that celebration penalty against AJ Greene).

  • I prefer college, definitely.  I do watch NFL and MLB though.
  • Depends on the sport. I like both college and NFL football. I love college basketball and do not bother with the NBA.
