Can you pull of red lipstick?
I never have been able to, but I'm going to go on an official hunt for the perfect red for me.
PSA: The most iconic red I know of is Russian Red by MAC.
Got a favorite shade?
Re: Can you pull of red lipstick?
I cannot pull it off.
And I don't think a shade that would look good on me would look good on you anyway.
yes, but only when my hair is darker. I haven't tried it yet with my new lighter do.
I love MAC's viva glam I
I like MAC's "Ladybug." It's a slightly sheerer red. However, I usually wear Maybelline's Superstay lip color in "Flame" if I am wearing red, I want it to stay put.
I've only worn red a few times. It makes me feel uncomfortable to wear something that bright.
I think I can, but feel free to tell me differently!
My daytime red is by Lorac. I also have an evening red by MUFE that I pair with the Gash lipliner from Urban Decay. I found the MUFE one by trying on a bunch of different combos that a Sephora sale assoc. pulled for me.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I wear red a lot, not sure if I'm pulling it off though! Russian Red and Ruby Woo are nice but they're pretty drying.
I like Revlon Really Red (true, bright) and In the Red (darker, closer to brick) from their matte line.
There's also Besame Red Velvet, and check out Illamasqua at Sephora. They only have it at SCP right now but it's really great. They had a bunch of nice reds but I liked Maneater.
ETA: I think you could rock the right red.
i've never really found a red that i could wear comfortably. i wore that ^ one this weekend at the reunion bash, but i still threw on a coat of a nudish brown color to tone it down a little. i've always wanted to rock the red, but i've given up trying to find the right one.
I think if it's not your normal style it takes a bit to get used to it. Try wearing it somewhere random, like the movies or the grocery store to ease your way into it.
ha, this!
but it doesn't help that a) I barely have lips b) my teeth are not super white and c) I'm paler than all hell.
