follow up on my friend
The baby was born yesterday morning via C-section. He was 6 pounds 6 ounces, and they named him Joshua. The delivery went smoothly and Mom is doing well.
As of this morning, he was in NICU and was breathing fairly well on his own but was receiving some respiratory help. They need to wait until his lungs are a little stronger to be able to do the surgery to replace his organs into his abdomen. They are hoping that with the respiratory help his lungs will strengthen enough that he could have the surgery as early as tomorrow.
So to this point, everything has gone well but he's not in the clear yet. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I'll keep you posted once they are able to get him through surgery.
