Entertaining my briday party...
So, I'm completely new here but you all have some great ideas!
I am getting married next September and have decided to get the girls from my bridal party, and my mom together in a few weeks to have everyone get to know one another and just hang out!
I'm trying to come up with ideas for the menu and I thought I'd ask for some help. I'm looking to do something simple, and probably pretty much finger foods, unless there is a great idea for a complete dinner. TIA!
Re: Entertaining my briday party...
Since you're looking for finger foods, why not have a tea party?
Serve:
Finger sandwiches (cucumber and cream cheese, chicken salad, etc..)
Scones (apricot or your favorite flavor)
Sweets (cookies, spice cake, etc)
Fruit (strawberries can double as garnish)
Coffee and tea
If you want another savory dish, make a nice salad.
Serve the food on three-tired platters. If you can't find this, stack different size plates between bowls or cups.
I like the Tea Party also.
A Brunch is always nice as well.
Welcome to the board. The ladies here have some really great ideas. Check out thew what's cooking board also.
Mel
Afternoon tea is a great idea and since they tend to be heavy on the baked goods, much of your menu can be prepared the day before.
Tapas or DIY gourmet pizzas would have also gone over well with my BMs.
