Suppose you need to feed approximately 125 college kids after they spent all morning working at a community service event. How many Costco pizzas would you need to buy?
Don't ask me how I ended up in charge of figuring this out.

Re: Costco pizza question
40?
This is my guess if the pizzas have eight slices each, and each person eats two or three slices (which, in my head, counts as 2.5).
125 x 2.5 = 312.5
312.5 / 8 = 39.0625
I thought the pizzas had more than 8 slices? I know they are 18" in diameter and the slices don't seem as big as 8 slices would suggest. But I haven't been to a Costco in forever.
This is a very tasty word problem.
I do think the Costco pizzas are a little bigger than average.

I found this online too: 8 large pieces or 16 smaller ones. If you buy a slice of pizza, you get one of the large pieces.
Crap. I think our budget estimate was way off.
Considering all that's been posted, I adjust my guess to 30.
