Wedding Invitation Ornament?

Hi everyone... I know this may seem kinda lame, but we have extra wedding invites and I'd like to find a way to make one of them into a keepsake.  Some of my favorite memories of christmas growing up was talking about the memories my parents had of all the ornaments they had collected over the years.  So, I'd like to somehow make our invitation into an ornament.  Any ideas?

Maybe you can paint some design or your monograms onto the ornament? Otherwise if you don't mind cutting them up, you can cut long strips of your invites and curl them with scissors.

I've also seen the one where you cut the invitation horizontally into small strips and put them in a clear ornament.  Or, you could cut out pieces of the invite and decoupage it on the outside of the ornament.

You could slice them up and quill them into snowflakes,  slice and decoupage onto ornaments, shrink them down, spray protect them and hang, you could cut them into a repeating shape and make a garland.

Wow, OP reminds me that I also have a bunch of left-over invites and love my Christmas ornaments. All the PPs here have such great ideas!

I actually did this with the prettiest of the cards that people sent for our wedding.  It turned out really beautiful, and it was a nice way for us to "keep" all those good wishes without having to store a box full of cards.  I think it was sort of like making a quilt out of favorite old clothing.
