first post here, Halloween Party Menu
Hey guys, We're throwing a party the night before Halloween, casual 7-whenever kinda thing with lots of beer.
We don't want to serve dinner since we don't have a set amount of people showing but we do want to have alot of food for people to fill up on.
Since we're both working that day, there's not a ton of prep time and I don't want to be in the kitchen for half the party.
What are some easy to throw together filling snacks we can put out?
What are some things that will hold well so we can prep them the night before?
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

A big pot of chili would be nice - it doesn't require any attention and will be filling if folks are expecting dinner. Cornbread's easy to make ahead.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
Mexican cornbread muffins would be great with the chili. Also, you could do pigs in a blanket, meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, spinach dip, and apples with caramel and chocolate dips.
Deviled eggs are always a hit. Pizza squares. Homemade chicken strips with different sauces.
haha, I feel like everyone is having a Halloween party - and I love it! Ours is this Sunday. I'm making some of these "spooky" treats for my guests. I think they are SO cute. The Creepy Crawly Spiders and Witches' Hats are my favorite.

Not sure if you have a costco membership... but here are a few things I like to do with things from there.
Chicken tenders - I just buy a bag of the breaded chicken breasts and then slice them up into smaller pieces. I serve them with nicer marinades or sauces to compensate for the frozen chicken breasts out of a bag.
Chicken Sausage Pigs in a Blanket - I buy the apple gouda chicken sausages from costco. Cut them up into thirds. Then wrap crescent dough around them like you would for pigs in a blanket. You could do the cutting and wrapping ahead of time and put them on a cookie sheet and keep it in the fridge overnight. Then you could just cook them the day of the party.
Buffalo chicken dip is always a big hit too! You could also make that the night before and then just put it in the oven on party day.
An appetizer I love to make in the fall is apple cider fondue that I serve in a hollowed out pie pumpkin that you bake at 350 for 30 min. with cinnamon and nutmeg on the sides. You can find that recipe at recipezaar.com. (I combine the pumpkin fondu pumpkin part and the apple cider fondue.) Everyone always loves it and the presentation is really festive.
Have a great party! With lots of beer, you can't go wrong.
