Cable/Internet provider poll

How much do you pay for cable and internet? And which provider(s) do you use?

I pay around $165 for ATT UVerse which includes internet, tv (with all the premium channels) and DVRs. I am budget planning for a move in a couple months and am wondering if I would save by changing providers. I'll be taking a lesser package for channels, too.

$125 after tax with Time Warner for a custom package (their highest speed internet, two DVRs, HBO/Cinemax/Showtime/TMC, HD programming). I called last January and threatened to switch to AT&T and this is what they gave me for the year.

We pay $115 a month for digital cable w/ 2 DVR boxes and HBO (that came "free"), as well as high speed internet.  We have Time Warner.

We pay $40/mo with directv for DVR all non-movie channels (we only have 1 tv).  Our wireless internet is bundled with directv for an additional $19/mo through verizon, so $59 total. 
The downside to directv is the contract, we'll probably need to renegotiate in a few months. Their service is much better than comcast and we won't go back to cable anytime soon.

I pay $99 for ATT Uverse for high speed internet, tv (no movie channels but a bunch of random stuff I didn't have with Time Warner,) and 2 DVRs.

Premium channels, 2 DVRs and high speed internets.

We pay $136 for ATT U-verse. We have HBO, 3 DVR boxes and high speed internet. It's worth every single dime. I love being able to record 4 shows at once and I love being able to watch them from any room in the house.

Sweet. I really like UVerse and want to keep it, when I move I'll have only 1 or 2 DVRs as opposed to the 4 or 5 there are now. Looks like that will be inexpensive enough.

Rach or nabum - do you have ATT for wireless service, too? And if so do they bundle them all?

I am retarded and only pay the bills so I am not sure what the deal with our internet is. Sorry.

 

ETA - did you mean AT&T for our mobile phones? if so, no we have Sprint.

Cat, they WILL bundle it. We also have ATT for D's wireless and it's only $45 bucks more. So our total bill is actually $181/mo.

Cool, thanks Jenn! I was hoping there would at least be some form of promotion with that since they are always trying to sell me on UVerse when I walk into an ATT wireless store.

Wireless internet, but not cell!

Right now, we pay $124 for the highest speed internet and cable with 1 DVR and "Verity Tier 1" - no movie channels like HBO, Showtime, or anything. 

They don't offer Uverse in our area. 

We're thinking about switching to Verizon Fios because they now offer it in our neighborhood for $84.99 a month for the same thing but with a wireless router and $150 back, I think. 

I've just kinda been lazy about it.

Did you call customer service or the cancellation department?

Cable is free (well, included in our HOA fees).  Time-Warner.

Internet is $20/month.  AT&T.
