Hi

I just wanted to introduce myself. My DH and I got married in Kansas City on June 13, and now we're both living in Lexington while attending grad school. Even though I've been here for a year, I still have pretty much no idea where anything is. Any recommendations about places to go would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to meeting everyone here!

Re: Hi

  • Welcome to the KY Board and congrats on your recent wedding!  Though I technically live in Danville, I've been near/around Lexington awhile.  I, however, am a boring person and don't have many recommendations about what to do.

A lot of people enjoy going to Keeneland during the spring or fall meets.  UK sports are big.  You can go to a Legends game.  (I'm a sports person, can you tell? Wink )  There is shopping, but it's way too crowded at Fayette Mall and Hamburg, in my opinion.

There are some Lexington girls on here that can probably offer some better suggestions!!

  • Hi and welcome!  I went to school at UK.  It's been a few years so not sure what's around anymore, but the pp is right.  Keeneland in the spring and fall is too fun!  UK football games are a blast too!  If you can get tix to a basketball game, kudos for you!  I think downtown Lex is great - shops, restaurants, bars.  Enjoy!
