Closer to the EV would be nice.
We're heading to mother natures farm, but it's so small. the one we would visit in cali was HUGE. is there one w/an actual acre of pumpkins anywhere?
Re: pumpkin patch recs
I am also looking for recs. I think we are going to drive to Chino Valley and go to http://www.azpumpkins.com/ unless I come across something better.
Here's a page with info on all the ones in AZ sorted by county. I've always heard good things about Schnepf farms (east valley)..we're going to go this weekend also but I haven't picked a place yet
http://www.pickyourown.org/AZ.htm
Schnepf farms is a good one. We went to Vertuccio Farms this year, its not as far east at Schnepf and half the price.
But its worth the money at Schnepf ($12-14). We went to Vertuccio cause DD can't do much they offer at Schnepf.
We went to Mother Nature's when DD was only a few months old so I don't really remember how much there was to "do". There was a bounce house, some animals, and pumpkins on hay bales - no actual patch or picking though. They also had a tractor and cute photo set up and I'm sure we paid $5 to get a cheesy photo holding DD on the tractor with DH and I next to her.
This year (today, actually) - we went to Vertuccio Farms. We actually didn't even pay the entrance fee and go all the way in b/c DD is still too young for it all. They have a corn maze, some gocart things, and a barrel ride - which we probably could have taken DD on but didn't want to risk she would be scared. They also had pumpkins on hay bales vs. a pumpkin patch. We just bought pumpkins, took some pics, and didn't have to spend an arm and a leg for something DD is not even into yet.
We are going to save Schnepf farms for next year when she's older and the money and the drive may be worth it for us.
IDK if that answers your question but thought I'd give my review of the places I have been to.
