Hallowe'en festivities?

My hubby just gave me good laugh, that I sooo needed, and showed me him all dressed up in his costume. We are going to a Hallowe'en party at our neighbours place this weekend! I'll certainly have to post pictures later.

Anyone else have any special Hallowe'en plans?

Re: Hallowe'en festivities?

  • We're decorating our yard and front door for trick or treaters.  Russ is going to hide in the bushes to scare the bigger kids.

What is your hubbie dressing as?

  • What's he dressing up as? I'm super curious now! We don't have any plans and we'll probably just enjoy a night in but I've been thinking that it'd be fun to pass out candy. It's too bad we live in an apartment. Boo!

    That's too funny about Russ!

He is dressing up as Magnum PI, moustache and all!  Several years ago he went as Napolean Dynamite. That was way too much for me to handle...lol. He had the whole impersonation down to a pact..Gosh!..lol. The funniest thing is when we got to that party, there was someone dressed up as Pedro!

Love the Napoleon Dynamite idea!  If the Border Police let me cross the border for the weekend, L & I will go to his co-worker's house for a party.  L's birthday is on the 27th so it's kind of his b-day party, too!

You have to give us a hint while we wait for pics.

    I'm working. Sad

I'm photographing a big event Fri, Sat, Sun 10am-'til I'm guessing midnight every day. I would like to think that we are going out after, but I'm scared I'll be worn out.

I don't know what kind of costume I could pull off while doing photography.

BAHAHAHA! Awesome! (Both last year and this year)

We're doing...nothing. Halloween isn't really that big here - some people have costume parties, but there usually isn't much in the way of trick-or-treating, etc.

LOL!! One year DH wanted to dress as Napoleon Dynamite and me as Pedro!! Our height difference would have been perfect LOL. I said no! If I dress up, I wanna look cute & pretty not funny Stick out tongue.

Halloween falls on the day of the Washington Wizards home season opener so DH & I will be at the game. His bday is Thursday prior so as a gift, I got him floor tickets to the game. We also got invited by a friend to a costume party but not sure yet if we'll go. I may wear this costume in case we decide to go Stick out tongue

  • We are SUPER into Halloween.  My daughter is going as a "MusKATeer"  Part cat, part female muskateer.  She does cart wheels then poses with her sword.  But she has ears and a tail.  She wanted to be a cat all year and now she just got the movie "Barbie and the 3 Muskateers" so she's super into that.

We always have friends who have an adult party every year and then we all end up going to the local taverns in the small towns around us and entering in the costume contests.  Since Halloween is on a Saturday this year, it's tricky so I have 2 costumes.  One for all the kid stuff we will do earlier and one for "Adults Only"

I'm going as an Oompa Loompa for the kids part of the night.  I'll be wearing the white suit like when they are in the TV room.  Green wig, orange face, etc.  For my adult costume I'm going as a blow up doll!  I'm still working on it, but I'll have some sort of pink/flesh colored suit that I'll paint red undies and bra on, gel my hair back, stick a blow up thing from a beach ball on my shoulder and have a big red mouth!  Terrible isn't it!  I'll try to remember to take pics!

Better make sure you don't switch up the costumes. Those kids would be scarred for life. Stick out tongue

  • We're going to a costume party at a friend's house.  This is the same place where the dog chipped my tooth at the housewarming party.  Wish me luck! :)

I'm going as Alice in Wonderland, and MH was going to be the Mad Hatter or White Rabbit, but then he decided he doesn't want to put any more effort into it than is absolutely necessary.  So, he's going to wear a 7-11 employee shirt he got from a friend like 12 years ago, and drink from a Double Gulp cup all night.  Sigh.

I'm disappointed that our costumes have nothing to do with each other, since we never go to costume parties and I thought it would be really fun to dress up as a couple.  But it's not like I can force him to go along with me!

  • My family is throwing a Luau on Halloween..LOL  It's a welcome back party for my Husband and I.

They want everyone to bring pics from the wedding and there trip to The Big Island.

  • I have an all-day meeting at work on Halloween, so I plan to be exhausted and the neighborhood crumudgin with her porch lights out.
