A co-worker of mine is looking for a rehersal dinner site in Lafeyette, IN. They are staying at the Holidy Inn Select in town. Does anyone have any suggestions? The rehersal dinner will be for around 30 people.
TIA!!!!!
Re: help a boston nestie
Do you know how formal or casual they're looking for? I would suggest the following:
The Trails - Battle Ground (maybe 10 minutes from Lafayette)
McGraw's - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g37621-d539152-Reviews-McGraw_s_Steak_Chop_and_Fish-West_Lafayette_Indiana.html
(I'm not sure if McGraw's has a separate room, but the food and service have been excellent every time I've been there and it's a beautiful setting on the river.)
Sarge Oaks - downtown Lafayette (pricey, but nice)
The Other Pub - http://otherpub.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=62
Bistro 501 - French restaurant downtown Lafayette - you might be able to reserve the smaller dining area for the group. http://www.bistro501.com/
Hope this helps!
My brother is a student at Purdue and has had really nice meals at Christo's--sorry I don't have any more contact info, but they are a locally owned restaurant with a few locations. I think it is nice food, but on the casual side.
Also, if they want really causual the lafayette brewing company is good food, but pretty pub like. It is really close to the Holiday Inn where they are staying (like three blocks)
Good luck!
