I planted for the first time this year and loved it.
I know it's an annual, when should I pull it?
Mine is till in bloom, but starting to look a little sad. I'm in the south.
Re: Vinca-Periwinkle
I'm also in the south - zone 7b. I pulled mine out last weekend. All the rain and cooler temps (mid 60s and some upper 50 degree days here) made them look pitiful. I kept apologizing to them as I yanked them out of the bed.
Vinca won't survive a frost very well. You can wait until they are killed by frost, or pull them now. I opted to pull mine out now because I wanted my pansies to get a head start on getting established.
When you plant the Vinca next year, my advice is to wait until the temps are consistently warm. I typically plant my Vinca in late April or May. The pansies I plant in the fall actually make it to the first few weeks of May without looking beat up.
