In the state of my uterus.
The u/s went fantastic today. My favorite tech was back from her maternity leave and she was very thorough and went through everything with us that she was measuring. The babe was uber active! We got to see face, fingers, stomach, heart, kidneys, bladder, feet, hands...it was really cool. S/he waved at us and you could see all it's fingers! Totally surreal that this child is inside of me. She couldn't get a good measure of the legs b/c of the way s/he was positioned and she also didn't get a great measure of the heart so we'll do another u/s at my next appt.
Regarding movement...I do have an anterior placenta which is why I haven't felt any movement yet. Which was a huge sigh of relief b/c I thought something was wrong with me. She said it's pretty common and does not change my pregnancy at all.
So it was a really good appointment! And now I start going every 3 weeks.

Sounds awesome! It is exciting seeing the baby, I was amazed at my last one when I could see toes and fingers. I can't wait until the next one.
Will you eventually feel that baby move? That's kind of sucky that your placenta decided to develop there, did you fuss at it? Maybe it will move...
Every three weeks, that is crazy, I still just can't believe your that far along already. Time is flying!

Yes, it'll just take a little longer. Dr. C said it could be as late as 24 weeks. It's just the way the placenta attached to my body when I got pregnant so it won't move but it's also not like this will happen every time I'm pregnant. It's a little sucky but if this is the worst thing that I encounter, I'll consider myself lucky!
ETA: I stand corrected on this. I was reading some info online last night and apparently the placenta can move throughout the pregnancy. I'll have to be sure and ask the doc about this next time!
LOL! Nope! She warned us when she was measuring the legs and we both looked away. However, even if we would have wanted to find out, we couldn't have yesterday due to my uncooperative spawn. The tech told us afterwards that she couldn't see what it was and also couldn't get a good measure b/c of the was the legs were positioned.
Such a good babe. Already in tune with his momma!
