Hi,  I saw your weekend plans post, we are members of St. James, it's where we got married, had Cate Baptized etc.  If you have any questions about the Church please let me know.  We've been a little slack in attending lately but we have a wonderful congregation and Fr. Geoff is really great.

Thanks for posting!  DH didn't feel well on Saturday night so we didn't make it on Sunday, but we are going this Sunday no matter what!  I've heard good things about it and am hopeful that we will like it!  We have always been regular attenders and it bothers me so much to not have a place to go yet.  Maybe we'll all see each other there one Sunday!  Are there a lot of young adults (20s and early 30s) there?

St. James has a good mix of age groups.  We are slowly gaining younger members, we have a number of dinner groups, which I always plan on making but never do for the young women of the Church and then we have a couples dinner group. 

We are hoping to make it this Sunday, we always sit the back pew b/c our 19 month old will not stay in the nursery, even though she goes to "school" every day so she stays with us for the whole service.  We always get the "look" from the eldery women of the Church but Fr. Geoff said he'd rather us be there with her than not at all.

There are two services, 9AM is more relaxed (well as relaxed as the Episcopal Chuch gets), 11AM, is the more formal of the two, full Choir etc.  I like the 9am for the time, I like 11 for the traditional aspects, which one we make it depends on how Cate is in the morning

I've heard quite a bit about St James actually. I'll definitely visit one Sunday soon. I'll be sure to send you a message and let you know when that visit will be. I'd be there for the early service as well-I always enjoyed the pace but the relaxed aspect of the early service with my old congregation. :-)

Thanks for the info!  We are planning on going to the 11 o'clock service.  I'll let you know how it goes!  That's good to hear that there's a mix of ages.  I hope we can find a nice place to get involved!
