Blackberry or internet cell phone users?

If I get a blackberry or a cell with internet capabilities... can I plug it into a laptop and therefore the laptop be 'on the net'?

Does that make sense?

Re: Blackberry or internet cell phone users?

  • YES, you can!

I know you can with Sprint, Verizon and AT&T BBerry devices but you do have to have the service added to your plan and install the tethering software.

My company has this set up for my division and took away our aircards.

To help you find more info on this, it's known as "tethering," and quite a few smart phones are capable of it.

We have T-Mobile, and I know that while they don't officially allow it, they also don't care if you do it either.

  • There are also apps that you can download for tethring to make the internet faster.
  • verizon does for additional 20.00 I think..may be wrong. I know for one blackberry my bill is about 110.00 a month...
