Santa Claus: The Movie
Mrs HVK was the only one that mentioned this movie in the poll...I love this movie! I tried to buy it on Ebay but it was a beta - that shows how old it is, lol. I used to watch it as a kid along with Christmas Eve on Sesame Street.
Does anyone else remember it? It had John Lithgow as the businessman/villain, the exploding candy canes, the orphan etc.....

I remember both, but Christmas Eve on Sesame Street is my favorite, I cant believe you remember it. I still watch it every Christmas Eve before I go to midnight Mass.
So that's what that movie is called, I saw part of it once as a kid and nobody ever knew what movie I was talking about when I asked.

I've always loved this movie, too. We watched it all the time when I was a kid (followed by Ernest Saves Christmas - lol).
